August 26th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm for Awards & Artist Reception

The 53rd Annual Show coincides with the Grand Opening celebration of the Hansen Arts Park. This event has attracted some new artists while many others return for their third, forth or even twentieth showing. That’s the beauty of a annual community art show where generations of artists exhibit their work and share their creativity.  This year, over 40 artists are participating with over 65 artworks submitted. The largest categories of art mediums are photography and painting but there will also be mixed media, sculpture, drawings, fiber, mosaic, and ceramics.
The exhibit reception will occur on Saturday, August 26 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. The juror for prizes is Owen Fritts the artist/architect who created the sculpture and pavilion in the Hansen Arts Park.  Due to the artist’s busy schedule, and prior commitments he will not be present at the August 26th awards presentation but his comments will be shared with all who attend.
Those attending the reception should be aware that The Downtown ArtSpark will be simultaneously occurring and 2nd Street is closed to through traffic – parking can be found on the surrounding side streets.
