Gerald Srozinski, 76, of Jamestown, ND, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Sanford Palliative Care Unit in Fargo, ND.

Gerald was born at Trinity Hospital in Jamestown on February 11, 1941, the son of Peter and Rose (Taszarek) Srozinski. He attended Winfield #41 Elementary School. Gerald was in the Army National Guard from September 24, 1964 until September 30, 1969 with the rank of SP5E5.

Gerald was married to Barbara Fiechtner on April 21, 1966 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown with G.H. Fiechtner officiating, Barbara’s uncle. He was employed by area farmers in the Ypsilanti area, namely Roland Marks. He began employment at Frederick Inc. as a mechanic on September of 1966 until 1988 at which time he became employed at Eckmans Auto. He was injured on July 23, 2001 when a car fell on him, resulting in a spinal cord injury. He was able to stay in his home with the services of Easter Seals (Junette) and JRMC Home Health (Lisa).

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Jamestown and his interests were NASCAR, Louis L’Amour and fishing.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Barbara, of 51 years; daughter, Darla (Dean) Beckley of Kensal, ND; three granddaughters, Amanda, Samantha, and Nicole Beckley of Kensal; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Srozinski and Jeanette Srozinski of Jamestown, and Lorraine Srozinski of Fargo; nieces, Barbara (Roy) Gomke, Jean (Dean) Schmuhl, and Cheryl (Brent) Gardner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold, Ralph, and Melvin; and one niece, Linda Srozinski Hill.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 21, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND, with Pastor Lucinda Lien officiating.

Interment: Will be scheduled at a later date.
