EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — As long as Sam Bradford stays healthy this year, the Minnesota Vikings won’t be worried about their quarterback situation. There’s uncertainty behind Bradford on the depth chart, though. Case Keenum has performed relatively well in the preseason as the backup, but with Teddy Bridgewater still rehabbing there’s no obvious third-stringer in camp.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks offensive line has been thrown into flux by the season-ending knee injury suffered by expected starting left tackle George Fant in the preseason game against Minnesota. Fant suffered a torn ACL and some MCL damage in his right knee. The loss completely alters an offensive line that was on the verge of being largely settled for the final two weeks of the preseason.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Odell Beckham Jr. didn’t point fingers or make accusations. After possibly dodging a major injury, New York’s flashy wide receiver calmly moved on. Beckham sprained his left ankle on a questionable hit in the first half of the Giants’ 10-6 exhibition loss to the Cleveland Browns Monday night. After receiving an 18-yard pass from quarterback Eli Manning, Beckham was undercut by Browns cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun, who drove his shoulder and helmet into the star receiver’s left leg.

Kneeling and bowing their heads, the Cleveland Browns bonded over something bigger than football.

More than a dozen players huddled together on the team’s bench Monday night to protest during the national anthem.

T25-COLLEGE FOOTBALL POLL

UNDATED (AP) — Alabama is No. 1 in The Associated Press preseason college football poll for the second straight season and third time in five years.

The Crimson Tide, coming off a last-second loss in the national championship game that left it No. 2 to Clemson in the final Top 25 of 2016, received 52 from a panel of 61 media members.

Ohio State was No. 2, edging out No. 3 Florida State and preventing the first 1 vs 2 opening game since the AP preseason poll began in 1950. Alabama opens the season against the Seminoles in Atlanta on Sept. 2, just the fourth opener involving top-five teams and the first pitting teams ranked in the top three.

Southern California starts the season at No. 4. Defending national champion Clemson begins the post-Deshaun Watson era at No. 5.
