Fargo (CSi 10:15 pm Sun)  WDAY reports the body of 22 year old Savanna Greywind was discovered Sunday evening near Harwood.

Fargo Police Chief David Todd told reporters that Kayakers  saw what appeared to be a body wrapped in what appeared to be plastic, hung up on a log in the Red River, near 90th Avenue North and 15th Street, north of Moorhead.

Authorities confirmed it was Savanna’s body.

The body will be sent to Hennepin County, Minn, for an autopsy

Police also report that earlier Sunday they were investigation suspicious items at a farmstead near Harwood, that led them to believe it was a crime scene.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Fargo police say investigators have been working through the weekend following up on leads in the search for a missing Fargo woman.

The Fargo Police Department tweeted Sunday that officials have received roughly 150 tips from the public since Friday in their search for 22-year-old Savanna Greywind, who was eight months pregnant when she went missing.

Police say investigators have followed up on many tips and those dremaining have been prioritized.

Greywind was last seen at her apartment Aug. 19. The quest to find Greywind has intensified since police found a newborn baby Thursday and arrested two suspects for kidnapping.

The suspects indicated to police that the infant was Greywind’s, but would not answer questions about Greywind’s whereabouts.

Brooke Crews and William Hoehn were arrested on kidnapping charges.

Fargo  (WDAY)  Fargo police have brought in special placenta-sniffing dogs from Minneapolis to aid in the search for clues in the disappearance of Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind and discovery of a newborn baby believe to belong to her.

WDAY reports the specially-trained K-9 team began searching on Friday and continued on Saturday. Fargo police Chief David Todd would not reveal where they have been searching.

Fargo police on Friday also searched a cornfield and grove of trees near Dilworth, Minn., responding to information gathered in interviews and searches.

Detectives also collected surveillance video taken about the time LaFontaine-Greywind disappeared from several businesses in Fargo and are going through that video.

Police reported that they have received “many calls” on its tipline about the LaFontaine-Greywind case and that detectives are following up on all information provided.

Police continue to encourage the public to check all areas of their properties for any possible information that may relate to the case. Anyone with information should call the Fargo Police tipline at (701) 235-7335.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Volunteers furnished with maps, bug spray and bottled water were searching areas Friday, near the Red River in north Fargo after family and friends of Savanna Greywind organized a search for the 22-year-old, who was eight months pregnant when she went missing.

The search included dozens of people who came from the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation, where Greywind is an enrolled member. Stuart LaFountain a member of the tribal board, is asking people to “look into their hearts” and help find Greywind.
