Variety reports that “The Simpsons” composer, Alf Clausen, was let go after 27 years.   Say it ain’t so Homer!  

A look back with CSi Retro News:  July 12, 2009, the Jamestown Arts Center held a reception for Jamestown ND native, musician Alf Clausen.  Clausen was home for a class reunion, a featured guest in the White Cloud Parade, and a reception.

In late August 2017, The Simpsons composer Alf Clausen, was let go after 27 years.  He is reportedly to have an ongoing role on the show, according to its producers.

Clausen, 76, has been nominated for 23 Emmy awards, winning two. He joined the show in 1990. According to Entertainment Weekly, he’s the writing mind behind popular “Simpsons” toe-tappers like, “We Do (The Stonecutters’ Song),” “See My Vest,” “We Put The Spring in Springfield,” “They’ll Never Stop the Simpsons” and “Stop the Planet of the Apes, I Want to Get Off!”
