Mary M. Kuhn, 69, Jamestown, ND died Sunday September 24, 2017 at Ave Marie Village with her husband by her side.

Mary Barron was born October 2, 1947 at Jamestown, ND, the daughter of George and Jewel (Berner) Barron. She received her education at the Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown and graduated high school in 1966. She also graduated there in 1968 with an advanced business course.

In 1969 Mary went to work at the ND Vocational Rehabilitation Office until retiring in 2003.

She and Arnold Kuhn were married September 18, 1976 and made their home in Jamestown. Mary loved doing crafts, sewing, cross stitching, photography and gardening. She was a person that did so much for so many.

Mary was a member of the Basilica of St. James, served as president of the St. James Tabernacle Society, served on the Mayor’s and Governor’s Committee for the Employment of the Handicapped, served as ADA liaison coordinator in Jamestown. She also served as president of HALT, secretary/treasurer of the Genealogy club and was often alumni president of the Anne Carlsen School. She also received the Jamestown Handicapped Citizen of the year.

She is survived by her husband, Arnie, Jamestown, ND; 1 sister, Julie (David) Arneson, Jamestown, ND; 1 brother, Michael (Lee) Barron, Skanee, MI; and many nieces and nephews, and special friends, Elaine and Gene Haugen, Mary Smith all of Jamestown.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
