Call No. 228    October 5th, 11:50AM, fire department responded to 1100 block of 18th St SE, to a report of a cement truck overturned in the river. Firefighters stood by incase of a fuel leak would occur. No firefighter injuries reported. Time out 2 hours 15 minutes.

 

Call No. 229    October 7th, 11:14PM, ready squad responded to 904 Thomas Ave, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate odor smell of gasoline. Firefighters checked the structure no gasoline was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 25 minutes.

 

Call No. 230    October 9th, 1:23AM, fire department responded to 1507 11th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke in the hallway. Firefighters checked the structure, no fire was detected. Cause-smoke machine in apartment #15 was used to create the smoke. Time out 35 minutes.

 

Call No. 231    October 9th, 4:50PM, fire department responded to 220 Northland Estates, to a report of a gas smell. Firefighters checked the structure and detected a sewer gas smell. Cause-possible sewer vent problem. Time out 25 minutes.

 

Call No. 232    October 11th, 10:45AM, ready squad responded to 112 6th St SE, to investigate smoke smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 40 minutes.

 

Call No. 233    October 12th, 12:19PM, ready squad responded to 1607 12th Ave NE, Crisis Residential Unit, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-burnt food. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.

 

Call No. 234    October 12th, 3:52PM, ready squad responded to 817 20th St SW, McDonald’s, to investigate odor smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-hot fan motor on the roof. Time out 30 minutes.

 

Call No. 235    October 14th, 7:09PM, fire department responded to Quality Inn Hwy 281 South, to a report of a vehicle on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-hot wheel bearing. No injuries reported. Time out 25 minutes.

 

Call No. 236    October 16th, 11:44PM, Stutsman County Dive Team responded to 5 miles North of Medina, to a report of a vehicle in the water that rolled over. Divers used the remote operated vehicle to check the water for anyone they may have gotten hurt. Also K9 team was used to do a land search. Nobody was found at the scene. Time out 2 hours 40 minutes.

 

Call No. 237    October 16th, 1:30PM, fire department responded to 1606 6th Ave SW, Newman Signs Yard, to a report of a fire. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units; firefighters checked the area and investigated. Cause-illegal burning within the city limits. No injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.

 

Call No. 238    October 18th, 9:18AM, fire department responded to 800 12th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of a vehicle fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire under the hood of the vehicle and investigated. Cause-electrical malfunction. No injuries reported. Time out 1 hour.
