Ruby J. Job, 81, Jamestown, ND died Saturday November 4, 2017 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.

Ruby Madcke was born September 13, 1936 near Jud, ND, the daughter of John and Salamea (Nitschke) Madcke. She attended school and graduated from Jud High School in 1954. She moved to Jamestown where she worked at Foremost Dairy until 1956.

She and Edwin Job were married February 1956 at Jamestown. They made their home in Jamestown where she worked at the Wagon Wheel Caf from 1962 to 1972, the Women’s Exchange as manager and later owned and managed Ruby’s Family Exchange for 17 years when she retired in 2003. Following the death of her husband in 1992, she continued to live in Jamestown.

Ruby was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, enjoyed embroidering and playing in a polka band. She especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Janette (Stan) Cox, Lynette Stoddart, Jeanette (Jerome) Wegner, all of Jamestown, ND; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, 3 step great grandchildren; and special friends, Jake and Marilyn Gahner.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorial Service- 10:30 AM Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Good Shephard Chapel- Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND with Deacon Ken Votava, officiating

Burial- Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND at a later date
