Betty Snitker, 71, of Jamestown, ND, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at her home in Jamestown.

Betty Lou Hanson was born April 15, 1946, the daughter of Ralph and Frances (Shaw) Hanson. She received her education in Preston, MN until moving to Rochester, MN to be a nanny. Betty then moved to Northfield, MN to work at the Scheldahl factory before moving to Jamestown in 1971. Betty and Clayton Snitker were married on September 10, 1982 in Jamestown where their home has been since. Clayton died December 12, 2001. Betty was also employed at Dynamics Marketing Inc., and drove cab for Buffalo City Cab Company.

Betty is survived by son, Brian Hanson, Jamestown; granddaughter, Madison Skorick, Jamestown; adopted granddaughter, Megan Trecker, Jamestown; adopted daughter, Susan Trecker, Jamestown; sisters, Carolyn Weber, Byron, MN and Shirley Walderon, Austin, MN; brother, Ralph Gudren) Hanson, Petersburg, VA; and special friends, Denise & Dale Scherman, Ottertail, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; mother-in-law, Ruby and Eron; three sisters, Phyllis Hanson, Lorraine Hanson, and Donna Hanson Gerars; brother, Robert; and an infant brother.
