Fargo  (WDAY)  38 year old Brooke Lynne Crews in court Monday in Fargo pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping and providing false information, in connection with the death of Savanna Greywind.

She’s scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.

WDAY reports, the mother of Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind, Norberta LaFontaine-Greywind  smiled and hugged family and supporters at Cass County Courthouse after Crews, one of two suspects in the killing of her  22-year-old daughter changed her pleas to guilty.

Norberta LaFontaine-Greywind, declined to comment after the hearing, reportedly looking happy and relieved.

The station reports that, Cass County State’s Attorney Birch Burdick, whose office is prosecuting the case, declined to provide additional details about Crews’ case since Hoehn’s case must still be tried.

Crews and her live-in boyfriend, 32 year old, William Henry Hoehn, were arrested in August in Fargo. Police found Crews with a newborn child when she was arrested. The baby later proved to be the biological child of LaFontaine-Greywind and her boyfriend, Ashton Matheny.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Thirteen oil companies failed to meet North Dakota’s natural gas flaring goals in September.

The state Industrial Commission adopted gas capture targets in 2014 aimed at reducing the wasteful flaring of excess natural gas in the oil fields. But The Bismarck Tribune reports operators in September burned off more than 300 million cubic feet of natural gas daily — a level not seen since the summer of 2015.

Regulators attribute September’s uptick to maintenance issues with pipeline systems and other infrastructure outages. State Mineral Resources Director Lynn Helms says gas capture targets are working “extremely well.”

He says they’ve brought the percentage of gas flared down from the peak of 36 percent in September 2011. Flaring is expected to be down to 12 percent by November 2018 and 9 percent by November 2020.

The testimonies bolster the U.N.’s contention that rape is being systematically employed by Myanmar’s armed forces as a “calculated tool of terror.”
