Jamestown (CSi)  The Jamestown City Council met in Special Session on Monday at 3:30-p.m. to discuss negotiations concerning the City Administrator’s position offered to Chris Schilken.

Schilken, a loan manager and lender at Prairie Federal Credit Union in Minot, was recently offered the position having been interviewed by a city committee along with other candidates.

All members were present, plus current City Administrator Jeff Fuchs, and City Attorney, Leo Ryan.

The Council adjourned into Closed Executive Session pursuant to the North Dakota Century Code: SECTION 44-04-18.4 AND SECTION 44-04-19.2.

Following the Executive Session that lasted about a half hour, the City Council re-convened into open session.

Council Member Brubakken moved to withdraw the present offer, and to direct the hiring committee to look at other options to provide to the City Council, and discontinue the present discussions with Schilken.

The Council voted unanimously to approve the motion.

Following the meeting Mayor Andersen told CSiNewsNow.com that she had no additional comments on the action, other than what was public record.
