Jamestown  (CSi)  Stutsman County Veterans Service Officer David Bratton says, the Jamestown DAV chapter, No. 31, has joined others in North Dakota and Minnesota in donating to support a new parking lot shuttle at the Fargo VA Hospital.

On a recent Wayne Byers Show on CSI Cable 2 David said the shuttle will be used year ‘round and is especially useful during the winter months.

With other veterans notes, he added the availability of the Veterans Identification Card, available to veterans honorably discharged, showing proof of veterans status.

It’s in addition to the “V” indicator that can be placed on drivers licenses.

He pointed out that the VA has released the new disability and pension rates for  2018.

He said the Decision Ready Claim Initiative forms are available,  to modernize and improve a vets experience with the disability claims process.

A Veterans Information and Resource Fair is set for  January  25, 2018 from 2-p.m., to 7-p.m., at the Minot VFW Post No. 753.

The Stutsman County Veterans Service Office is located a the LEC in Jamestown, in the lower level.
