Valley City (CSi) Valley City officials remind residents that  work on permanent flood protection in Valley City, continues on Tuesday, December 19 and expected until December 22.

Main Street will be closed between Central Avenue and 5th Avenue west.  Local traffic will be allowed to businesses inside  the road closures.

The contractor will be driving pilings and will have their A crane in place while work is being done. Other materials will be stored on Main Street.

Motorists will  be directed to Second Street Northwest during the closure. Truck deliveries are asked  to use alternative routes.  (CSi File Photo)
