Jamestown  (CSi)  The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, a car truck crash Sunday at 10:15 a.m.  on I-94 three miles west of Medina, injured an Excelsior, Minnesota woman.

A 2016 International truck, driven by 50 year old Fredrick Jones, of Monango, was westbound on I-94 in the right lane.  The semi was going around 35 mph because it’s diesel fuel was beginning to gel up.  A 2015 Porsche Cayenne, driven by 37 year old Lara Weisman, of Excelsior, Minnesota was westbound on I-94 in the right lane with cruise control set.  She was distracted by something inside the vehicle and did not see the International truck.   The Porsche rear ended the International truck’s trailer.  Weisman was transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for minor injuries by Medina Ambulance.  Her passenger, 39 year old Scott Mills, of Buffalo. Minnesota was not injured.

All were wearing seat belts.

The Patrol cited Weisman for care required.

The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, and Medina Fire Department.
