Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Fire Department responded to a 9-1-1-call at an apartment fire Monday just after 5-p.m., at 610 11th Street Northeast.
Lt. Sheldon Mohr says the fire between floors was caused by a heat gun that was used to thaw water pipes, as the person extinguished the majority of the fire before the fire units arrived, which put out the remainder of the fire.
No injuries were reported, with five city fire units and 25 firefighters on scene.
Assisting at the scene was Jamestown Police in evacuating the building during the time of the fire.
