JAMESTOWN  (UJ.edu)– Marina Nowak (JR/Rogers, MN) scored career-high 18 points and the sixth-ranked Jimmie women’s basketball team won their school-record 16th straight game, 116-62 over Dakota State (S.D.) Saturday afternoon at Harold Newman Arena.

Jamestown, which defeated Dakota State 101-54 December 1 at Madison, found themselves in a tight spot after the first ten minutes. UJ led 25-19 despite turning the ball over eight times.

However, the second quarter saw the Jimmies break the game wide open, as they outscored the Trojans 40-16 and led 65-35 at the half. UJ shot a blistering 15 of 21 from the floor and forced Dakota State into 16 turnovers.

The offensive barrage continued for the Jimmies in the third quarter with 34 points, while the defense limited the Trojans to two field goals in 11 attempts.

JAMESTOWN, N.D.  (dsuathletics.com) – Jamestown (N.D.) shot a sizzling 59.7 percent from the field Saturday evening, rolling past Dakota State (S.D.) 104-88 in a high scoring North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Men’s Basketball conference action at Newman Arena.  The Trojans suffered their fourth straight NSAA conference defeat on their current six-game trip.

Dakota State dropped their overall record to 9-14 and 3-7 record in North Star conference games.  Jamestown, receiving votes in the latest NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 national poll, improved to 15-6 overall record and 5-4 NSAA conference.
