Valley City  (CSi)  The Barnes County Sheriff’s Office reports arrests were made following a pursuit of their vehicle, on Friday, January 19th, about 4:15 p.m.

The news release says, that after two men in the vehicle failed to stop for Barnes County deputies during a traffic stop,  deputies initiated a traffic stop on I-94 near mile marker 294 east of Valley City due to a traffic violation. The vehicle failed to stop for deputies and continued into the Valley City at a high rate of speed. After a short pursuit in the city, the fleeing vehicle stopped and two men fled on foot.

Barnes County Sheriff  reports that deputies and Valley City police officers were able to apprehend the two suspects after a foot chase. Cash and illegal narcotics were found inside the seized vehicle. The two suspects were transported to the Barnes County jail and face multiple charges.

One of the male suspects is also being held for outstanding felony warrants. McClaflin says the names of suspects will be released following their initial court appearance and formal charges have been lodged.
