Forbes – A Forbes, ND man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a 9-year-old child in Dickey County in December.
49 year old Robert Miner was arrested Tuesday with assistance from the James River Special Operations Team, the Red River Valley SWAT, North Dakota Highway Patrol and North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Miner was charged on Jan. 17 in Southeast District Court in Dickey County with two counts of aggravated assault, a Class B felony.
The criminal complaint, says Miner is accused of causing serious bodily injury to the child on Dec. 22 by kicking her in the legs, causing extreme pain and bruising, and thrusting her hand in hot gravy on Jan. 9, causing extreme pain and caused blisters.
The Dickey County State’s Attorney has also charged Miner with aggravated domestic violence, involving an alleged incident with his wife.
Miner is in custody in the Stutsman County Correctional Center with no bond set.
