Jamestown (CSi) The Library System presents “The Art of Crochet,” with Yyvonne Imbery, Tuesday February 27th, 6-p.m. to 7-p.m. at the Stutsman County Extension Service Office, 910 5th Street Southeast. Enter through the Stutsman County Library.
(Change of location due to numbers reserving space.)
Yyvonne is self-taught through books & you-tube tutorials. She started about 12 years ago. She understood most of the stitches but could not read a pattern to save her soul so she put the hook down. About 5 years ago, she picked up the hook again, determined to figure out how to read a pattern. She read, practiced, tore apart & practiced some more. Then she found a group on Facebook with a mentor that was so easy to follow and understand & started watching his videos on you-tube. She finally got it! About a year ago, she started her own private Facebook group for people in the area that are of all skill levels, hoping that they could share patterns, tips & mentor those that would like to learn.
The presentation is for beginners, intermediate & skilled crocheters, anyone willing to teach & learn.
Materials to Bring: Beginners, just yourself. Skilled, your current WIP & your knowledge to share with others.
Crochet hooks & yarn to share will be available.
