Jamestown  (CSi)  Another name has been added to those to taking out petitions for three open seats on the Stutsman County Commission in this year’s elections.

Steve Cichos has announced his intentions to file a petition to run for a seat on the county commission.  The 62 year old Cichos, is recently retired having spent 42 years as a banker in Jamestown. He continues serving as a consultant with Bank Forward in Jamestown, after holding the position of Market President.

Jamestown City Council Member Ramone Gumke, who has announced he will not seek re-election this year to the Council, is also seeking a spot on the county commission. County Commissioners Craig Neys and Denny Ova also have taken out petitions to run for re-election to another term.

County Commissioner Dale Marks has indicated he will not seek re-election while Neys has returned his petitions to the courthouse.

Nominations to the three open county commission seats will be placed on the June 12th primary, for a vote to be placed on the November General Election ballot.
