BISMARCK, N.D. (April 18, 2018) – Gov. Doug Burgum today directed all state agencies to fly the United States and North Dakota flags at half-staff, and encouraged individuals and businesses to do the same, as a mark of respect for the memory of former First Lady Barbara Bush, who passed away Tuesday, Apr 17th at age 92.
The governor’s directive is in accordance with a proclamation issued by President Donald Trump. The proclamation calls for flags to remain lowered until sunset on the day of interment, Saturday April 21st.
