Timothy J. Walker, 59, of Jamestown, North Dakota passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 due to a shortly known battle with cancer.  Tim was born in Jamestown on January 3, 1959 and was the son of John and Lavira (Knapp) Walker. Tim grew up in Buchanan, North Dakota where he participated in basketball as well as track and field and graduated there from high school in 1977.  He adored his family farm in Courtenay where he learned about work ethic, rode horse and motorcycle, and most of all empathy and love for all people.  In 1980, he married Corlene Schmidt and started a family in his childhood home in Buchanan and together they had two sons, Tyson and Brent Walker.

On September 4, 1998 Tim was married to Jennie Neumiller and jointly added two girls, Allison and Nicole Walker, to his family.

Tim loved to hunt, fish, play guitar, camp, ride motorcycle, and spend time with his family and close friends in which he was proud and treasured.  Tim enjoyed visiting with anyone and after an initial introduction and dialogue with this new acquaintance he would later describe that person in high regard as a friend.

Tim’s natural talent and love of music stood out as he often asked to sing, dance with hand gestures and a shimmy, play guitar, and listen to music until he was called to join the Lord.  His son Brent and him had a fantastic mix of old country, Motown, with some added tang of Skynyrd’s “Free Bird”.

He was a compassionate person and often put others, even strangers, before himself.  Tim commonly would cross his humor and humble attitude by stating “ I am a jack of all trades and master of none”.

Tim was a loyal son, husband, father, and grandfather and is survived by his mother, Lavira Walker-Eggermont of Tower City North Dakota, wife, Jennie, sons, Tyson (Lindsey) of Lake Crystal Minnesota, Brent (Lacie) of Jamestown North Dakota, daughters Allison and Nicole both of Jamestown North Dakota, and grandsons Isaac and Beau.  His siblings Joe (Karen) of West Fargo North Dakota, Larinda (Rick) Velure of Kathryn North Dakota, and Robert (Renette) of Honolulu Hawaii, numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, father-in-law Vergil, cousin Todd, and aunts and uncles.
