Jamestown  (CSi)  The Jamestown Area Grief Support Team is hosting a Community Service of Remembrance on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Ave Maria Village, 501 19th Street NE in Jamestown.  Anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, either recently or in years past, is invited to come and share in this informal service honoring the memory of our loved ones in a supportive atmosphere.

Dr. Alan Wolfelt, internationally know expert and author in the field of grief and loss writes: “In my experience, remembering the past makes hoping for the future possible.  Your future will become open to new experiences only to the extent that you embrace the past.”  Many people who are grieving the loss of a loved one often feel very alone in their grief.

The Jamestown Area Grief Support Team is committed to offering support and companioning to those who are grieving.  Team members endeavor to provide a listening ear and a variety of ways for individuals to share their feelings about their loss.

The Service of Remembrance is free of charge and open to everyone.  Those attending are asked to bring a picture of their loved one to the service.  Please enter the main door at Ave Maria Village.  For more information about this service or the Jamestown Area Grief Support Team, call Diane at 320-4915.
