Frances Boelke, 81, Jamestown, North Dakota passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Eventide Jamestown.

Frances Eckroth was born July 18, 1936 in Mandan, ND, the daughter of Frank Eckroth and Birdie (Casler) Messner. She attended Franklin Elementary School and graduated from Jamestown High School. Frances and Kenneth George Boelke were married July 30, 1955 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. After living in Germany during their Army years and Glen Ullin, ND, Ken and Frances settled on the family farm raising Charlois cattle.

Frances went to work for Newman Signs when her youngest child started school. Following retirement, she moved to Jamestown. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, sewing, painting and antiquing. Frances especially loved her family.

Frances is survived by her four children: daughters, Tracy (Mark) Haglund, Lakeville, MN, Terri (Dean) Bertsch, Jamestown, ND, Toni (Jeff) MCarty, Fargo, ND; one son, Timothy, Jamestown, ND; eight grandchildren, Waylon, Jarett, Andrea, Matthew, Jessica, Nicole, Brent and Tyler; eleven great-grandchildren, Dylan, Bradley, Jaidyn, Lyndsie, Gavin, Hannah, Natalie, Jack, Aubrie, Alric, and Bentlee. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Phil Eckroth, sister Lana Cobler, daughter-in-law Pamela and great granddaughter, Macie.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 29 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 30 at First United Methodist Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Elmo Herman, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery.
