Jamestown  (NDHP)  ‐‐ The Jamestown to Valley City segment of the 2018 Torch Run for Special Olympics North Dakota took place on Tuesday, June 5. Over 20 law enforcement volunteers from Jamestown and Valley City carried the torch east along Interstate 94 for opening ceremonies for the 2018 State Summer Games June 7‐8 at the Fargo Civic Center. The summer games will feature more than 600 athletes

The news release says, Special Olympics athletes from across the state, competing in several events including track and field, aquatics, unified volleyball, and many more. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Special Olympics and the theme is “heers to 50 Years of Inclusion Revolution.
