Dorothy Coleene Housh, 84 Fargo,ND, formerly Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Bethany on 42nd Fargo.

Dorothy was born November 19, 1933 to Hiram and Lenore (Ferguson) Johnson. She grew up and attended school in Oakes, ND. On May 13, 1952 she was united in marriage to David Housh in Britton, SD. She worked many jobs, Jamestown Hospital, Crippled Childrens School (now The Anne Carlson School), Rollahome, Cass Clay Creameries, Northland Homes and The Peanut Shack.

Dorothy enjoyed camping, doing many types of craft work, being with friends and family especially her grandkids and great grandkids. One of her proudest moments was when she earned her GED. She loved collecting watches, turtles and frogs.

Dorothy was a member of St John’s Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, TOPS, Telephone Pioneers of America and Sheyenne Valley Good Sam Club.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Gary (Teresa) West Fargo, Susan (Douglas) Gomke, Fargo, Mark (Julie) West Fargo and Judy (Brent) Sundeen Jamestown. Ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers Samuel, Willys, Norman and sisters Margaret, Bernice and Ellen.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Wednesday June 13,2018 at St John’s Lutheran Church Jamestown with Pastor Eric Weber officiating.

Visitation: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday June 12, 2018 followed by family receiving friends staring at 7:00 pm at Eddy Funeral Home Jamestown.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude and thanks to the staff at Bethany Retirement Living the Nurses, CNA’s, CMA’s, RA’s and everyone else who helped her for the excellent care and the love extended to our mom. She loved each and every one of you. Also, a very special thank you to her care team from ETHOS Hospice.
