Barbara Pogue, 92, of Hopkins, MN, died Monday, June 18, 2018 at Methodist Hospital.  Prior to moving to Hopkins in 2015, she was a long-time, proud resident of Jamestown, ND.

Barbara M. Dekaria was born April 26, 1926 in Jamestown to Antonio ‘Tony’ and Martha (Boepple) Dekaria.    Barbara married Preston F. Pogue on July 3, 1945. She was employed at The First James River National Bank (Norwest/now Wells Fargo) for 37 years.

After retiring from her successful banking career, Barb enjoyed playing with her grand- and great grandchildren, traveling, conversing with anyone she met and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Martha, husband, Preston, and sister, Ophelia Parkenson.

She is survived by her son, Richard (Jan) (Minneapolis, MN); 3 grandchildren: Alyssa (Peter) Barott (Edina, MN), Jocelyn (Dedrick) Kon (LaCrescenta, CA), Jon (Maryann) Pogue (Hummelstown, PA); 7 great grandchildren: Dylan (Fargo, ND), Elizabeth and Laken (Alyssa),Olivia and Emilia (Jocelyn), Oscar and Sawyer (Jon); and brother, Joseph Dekaria (Jamestown).

Service: Her memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, June 27 in the chapel at The Glenn, 1011 Feltl Court Hopkins, MN 55343.  The family will also host a gathering in Jamestown, ND on Friday, July 27 to remember and celebrate Barb’s life.  Details will be published soon.
