Kim Foell, D.C., age 67, of Valley City, ND, died Saturday, July 14th the result of an automobile accident near his home in Valley City.

Kim B. Foell, the son of John and Dorothy (Johnson) Foell, was born June 10, 1951 in Dickinson, ND.

He spent his first year in Killdeer, ND and then moved with his family to Burlington, ND.

After graduating from Des Lacs High School, he attended NDSU for two years.

He then served for 4 years in the US Navy as a hospital corpsman and physical/occupational therapy tech. While in the Navy, he was stationed at the San Diego Naval Hospital, Bethesda Naval Hospital and on the aircraft carrier, USS Constellation.

He was discharged at the Bremerton Naval Base in Washington in 1975.

He and his wife Cheryl (Speich) Foell were married in June, 1973. The couple worked at the Charles Bronstien Group Home while he attended Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN.

He then attended Northwestern Chiropractic College and graduated in 1981.

After his graduation, Kim and Cheryl moved to Valley City, ND where he began his 37 year career in Chiropractic Care.

He sincerely cared about each individual patient and was loved by them in return.

Kim was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the North Dakota Chiropractic Association, the American Chiropractic Association, the Barnes County Wildlife Club and the Valley City Eagles Club.

He loved to hunt and fish and passed that love onto his children and grandchildren.

He made sure his daughters as well as his son learned the skill of hunting.

He liked country western music and loved swinging Cheryl around the dance floor. His most favorite times were spent with his family.

His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Kim and Cheryl had four children; Amy (Weston) Harbaugh, Melissa (David) Halsa, Heather (William) Long and Justin (Brianne Heupel) Foell.

Kim is survived by his wife of 45 years; three children; eight grandchildren, Peyton and Madelyn Harbaugh, Connor, Sophia and Olivia Halsa, Elizabeth and Cecilia Long and Graysen Foell; his brother, Randy (Sandy) Foell; his sister, Sidney (Bruce) Lekson; his mother-in-law, Jeanne Speich; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Jane Speich, Bruce and Dayna Speich and Craig and Wanda Speich; two aunts, Betty and Idella Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kim was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Amy Harbaugh and his in-laws Orval and Elinor Speich.

The family requests and memorials be directed to the Amy Foell Harbaugh Memorial Scholarship at Dacotah Bank in Valley City or the Faith Lutheran Church Capital Fund.
