Washington  (Rep Cramer’s Office)  – Congressman Kevin Cramer announced Department of Energy Secretary Rick Perry will visit North Dakota on Monday, August 13.

During the trip, Secretary Perry will tour North American Coal’s Falkirk Mine and Great River Energy’s Coal Creek Station. Following the tours, Perry and Cramer will host a roundtable with executives from the energy industry. Cramer has invited Senator John Hoeven and Governor Doug Burgum to participate in the events.

“I’m pleased to welcome Energy Secretary Perry to North Dakota where we truly have an all-the-above energy market,” said Cramer. “He’ll see some world class coal mine, coal power, and associated facilities providing reliable and affordable energy to our region of the country with excellent environmental performance. We’ve also invited our wide-range of energy stakeholders to participate in a roundtable with the Secretary to share their comments or ask questions. I think he’ll see and hear firsthand how North Dakota, under cooperative federalism, is a leader in the energy industry and see challenges as opportunities to advance President Trump’s energy dominance agenda.”
