Ellendale  (CSi)   Dickey County Emergency Manager Charlie Russell says a fund has been set up by the North Dakota Volunteers Organization Active in Disasters (VOAD) to assist Ellendale residents having sustained major flood damages.

The  National Weather Service reported that 8 inches of total rainfall in roughly 7 hours, that overwhelmed storm and sanitary sewer systems, creating raw sewage to collect in basements.

 

Those wishing  to donate to the fund can do so online or mail a check made out to “North Dakota Community Foundation” with “Ellendale Flood Relief Fund” in the memo line to:

The Lutheran Disaster Response Disaster Case Manager will be in Ellendale Thursday, August 16th 5pm-8pm, Friday, August 17th, 9-a.m.-12-p.m.

Appointments are also available on Friday, August 17th from 1-p.m.-5-p.m. and Saturday, August 18th, 9-a.m.-11-a.m.
