Trucks supplying fresh vegetables, bakery items and boxed goods will be in the communities of Edgeley, Oakes and Gwinner on Tuesday, Aug. 28, as part of the Great Plains Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry program. Anyone in need of food assistance in each town or neighboring communities may attend and receive food at no cost.
Stops on Aug. 28 are set at the following times and locations:
*Edgeley: parking lot of the Armory (508 1st Ave.) from 9:15 to 10 a.m.
* Oakes: in the lot behind the Travel Inn (401 Main Ave.) from 11:15 a.m. until noon
*Gwinner: Gustaf Adolf Lutheran Church (207 1st St. SE) from 2 to 2:30 p.m.
Individuals attending any of the distributions are asked to bring with any plastic bags or boxes to take food home with them.
Great Plains Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry program will have trucks with fresh vegetables, meat, bakery items and boxed goods in the communities of Carrington, New Rockford and Sheyenne on Thursday, August, 30.
The Mobile Food Pantry will be in Carrington from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 95 1st Street North, before stopping at New Rockford from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the City Hall parking lot, 117 1st Street South, and then in Sheyenne from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the high school parking lot, 320 Sunnyside Avenue.
Individuals attending either distribution are asked to bring with any plastic bags or boxes to take food home with them.
