WASHINGTON (AP Mar 20, 2013) – The Senate has passed a huge spending bill to fund the government through the end of September, preventing a shutdown at the end of the month. A vote Thursday in the House would send the measure to President Barack Obama for his signature. It includes funding for the day-to-day operating budgets of every Cabinet agency, and another $87 billion for military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.
