Jamestown (JPD) Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger Thursday afternoon reported that, a suspect has been identified and is being sought in the armed robbery at the Superpumper truck stop in Jamestown. 34 year old Travis James Allcock of Valley City has been identified as a suspect through multiple investigative sources.
Allcock is approximately 5″10″ tall and weighs approximately 200
lbs. He may be driving a blue 1993 Toyota Camry with ND license plate
518BVX.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Do not approach Allcock as he is considered armed and dangerous. If you know of Allcock’s
whereabouts, notify law enforcement immediately.

Back to the City Night is Thurs Sept 6 from 5:30-p.m. to 7:30-p.m., on Central Avenue from 2nd street to 4th Street.
VCSU Students will walk from the footbridge to downtown beginning at 5:30-p.m., to participate.

Bismarck (CSi) The North Dakota State Health Department reports that, a Burleigh County resident initially thought to have measles has now tested negative for the disease.
It went on to say,“Measles is one of the most contagious diseases in the world,” said Molly Howell, immunization program manager for the NDDoH. “We acted quickly and appropriately based on the testing and information that we had on hand at the time to prevent the spread of measles in the community. We appreciate the cooperation of this individual, schools and community members in response to this situation.”
Lisbon (CSi) On Saturday September 8, activities are set for the 125th Anniversary of the North Dakota Veterans Home in Lisbon.
On Thursday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2 Stutsman County Veterans Service Office, David Bratton said, at 10:30-a.m. Saturday The Red River Valley Veterans Band will perform.
At 11-a.m., the “Fly Over,” and ceremony will be held.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota regulators have approved the conversion of a crude oil pipeline to transport natural gas liquids from the heart of the state’s oil patch.
The Bismarck Tribune reports the three-member Public Service Commission on Wednesday gave unanimous approval to Andeavor Logistics to convert 42 miles of the BakkenLink pipeline, which was originally approved in 2012 to transport crude oil.
Andeavor previously received permission from the PSC to construct about 44 miles of new natural gas liquids pipelines in McKenzie, Billings and Stark counties that are associated with the converted pipeline.
The pipeline system will transport mixed natural gas liquids from the Watford City area to an Andeavor gas processing plant near Belfield, where the liquids will be separated into products such as ethane, propane, butane and natural gasoline.

Madison, SD PlayNorthStar.com reports, the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) has announced its first edition of the Men’s and Women’s Golfers-of-the-Week, announced by the conference office Wednesday. Jared Lentz of Valley City State (N.D.) was selected as Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week, while Bailey Schmidt of Viterbo (Wis.) was named to Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week.
Jared Lentz a Senior from Valley City shot a career-best round of 4-under par (68) as he won the University of Jamestown (N.D.) Invitational. Lentz’s 68 led the Vikings to the team title as they finished with a 2-under par total of 286. Both Lentz’s individual score and the team score are the best rounds for VCSU since the golf programs were reinstated in 2009.
In world and national news…
NEW YORK (AP) — Burt Reynolds, whose credits included acclaimed films such as “Deliverance” and commercial hits like “Smokey and the Bandit,” has died.The handsome film and television star died at age 82, according to his agent Todd Eisner. No other details were immediately available Thursday.
During a long, erratic career, Reynolds starred in the Oscar-winning film “Deliverance” in 1972 and the Oscar-nominated “Boogie Nights” in 1997. He also fronted such commercial favorites as “Smokey and the Bandit.” And he had a hit TV show in the 1990s with “Evening Shade.”
But he also had more than his share of flops and tabloid moments, including an acrimonious divorce from former TV star Loni Anderson and a nearly nude centerfold in Cosmopolitan magazine.
