FARGO  (WDAY) — We have a winner.

Two North Dakotans, Art and Nicole Thompson of Bismarck, have the opportunity to fly out to Syracuse, and complete the list of visitors from all 50 states to Embassy Suites hotel at Destiny USA.

As a part of the You-Betcha Destiny campaign, North Dakotans submitted personal stories about why September 7th, the hotel’s anniversary, was special to them.

Art and Nicole’s first daughter was born on September 7, 2007.

In his post, Art praised his wife for being a good mother, but also managed to keep his submission a secret.

Art Thompson says, “My wife and I are both native North Dakotans, we’ve lived here, we love the state, we have good friends and family here.  When I did get the call this morning, that notified me that we were going to be winning, I did have quite a bit of explaining to do.”

The Thompsons have until a year from Friday to make their way out there.
