Genevieve “Liz” McNeal, 77, Valley City, ND passed away at the Sheyenne Care Center on September 11, 2018.
A memorial service for Liz will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 19 in the Lerud-Schuldt-Mathias Funeral Home Chapel.Genevieve Elizabeth “Liz” Murdie was born December 7, 1940 in Canton, NY to William and Genevieve Murdie.After moving to Tower City, ND she met and married Merwyn E. Richman.They had 3 children Jeanette, Steven, and Brian.

Throughout her years in Tower City her home was open to all, a home away from home for lots of kids that spent summers, needed a meal, or needed a place to stay.

After Merwyn died in 1995, Liz moved to Billings, MO and married Charles McNeal.

Liz worked in the nursing home for many years until Charles was diagnosed with cancer.

She returned to ND in 2013 to live with Steven and Tammy Richman before moving into the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.

Liz left an impression as the night owl at the care center and her unique personality was loved by many.

Liz passed away on Sept. 11th, 2018 at the care center and will be missed by all that knew her.

Liz was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles McNeal, brothers, Bill Murdie and Kenneth Hicks, sisters Donna Shadock and Dottie Ann, her daughter Jeanette Miller, daughter-in-law Tammy Richman, and one grandson Lucas Murdie.

Liz is survived by her 2 sons, Steven Richman of Tower City, ND, Brian Richman of Springfield, MO and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
