Emil R. Rodacker, 91, of Jamestown, ND, passed away early Thursday morning, September 20, 2018, at Eventide.Emil R. Rodacker was born March 8, 1927, on the family farm at Robinson, ND, the son of Adam and Katie (Merckel) Rodacker. He attended a rural, one-room school in Wallace Township, near Robinson through the 8th grade. Growing up he learned to work, tending to sheep and other regular farm chores. After the passing of his father, Emil took over the family farm. He married Winona Schrenk on June 28, 1959 and they lived on the farm for the next eighteen years. Their son, Monte was born in 1961. In 1977, they moved to Jamestown where Emil and Winona took on the job of custodians for DePuy-Sorkness Clinic for the next 17 years. Emil then worked for Service Master, retiring at the age of 80.

He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church where he held positions of Elder, Sabbath School class teacher, and Deacon.

Emil had a passion for music and enjoyed playing his guitar, violin, mandolin, banjo and harmonica with Winona, her siblings, Monte or whoever got together.

Emil is survived by his wife, Winona Rodacker and son, Monte (Cyndy) Rodacker. He was the last of his family.
