Washington – Senator John Hoeven Friday released a statement in observance of POW MIA Recognition Day.  Hoeven supported the creation of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency and the senator’s office works with individuals to provide a full account of service personnel from past conflicts and ensure information is communicated to families.

“Today, (Friday)  on POW/MIA Recognition Day, we commemorate individuals, like the late Senator John McCain, who have risked their lives and sacrificed their freedoms to preserve ours. We also remember those whose history of service will never be forgotten and inspires our deepest admiration. We owe the highest debt of gratitude to those who have fought to keep our nation free, and we extend our sympathies and commitment to families and loved ones searching for answers.”
