Spiritwood (CSi) Groundbreaking for the New Energy Spirit Biomass Refinery to be built in Spiritwood, is planned for the spring of 2019, to be located next to Dakota Spirit AgEnergy.

The news release says, the plant will convert 280,000 tons of North Dakota wheat straw into clean, low-carbon fuel to power California automobiles.
CEO Thomas Corle says the bio-refinery will be the first commercial Inbicon cellulosic ethanol plant in the U.S., from a Denmark based company.
That company will hold a management and operations agreement but the corn ethanol facility will not hold any ownership in the project.
