James Curtis Hastings, age 72, passed away Saturday, October 20th, 2018 in Jamestown, ND.

Jim was born on March 23rd, 1946 in Jamestown to Elsie (Kurtz) & Don Hastings. He attended country school & graduated from Jamestown Highschool in 1964. They had two sons, Gregory & Andrew, who were raised on Jim’s family farmstead.

Jim was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting & fishing, especially with his boys. He played several different card games, but his favorites were pinochle & cribbage. You never quite knew what he was up to, especially if his partner in crime, Lloyd Landscoot was involved. He also enjoyed watching football & baseball. Jim considered it a good day when the “Twinkies” lost! Recently he was excited for the birth of his first grandchild.
