BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Organizers are expecting several thousand people to attend a memorial for three people killed in an air ambulance crash near Bismarck.

The service for nurse Bonnie Cook, paramedic Chris Iverson and pilot Todd Lasky begins at 10 a.m. Monday at the Bismarck Event Center.

The Bismarck Tribune says dozens of ambulance services from across North Dakota and beyond plan to participate in a procession from the Eastgate Funeral Home to the event center. Police and fire departments will also participate.

The air ambulance carrying the three crashed into a farm field shortly after taking off from Bismarck on Nov. 18. The twin-engine plane was flying to Williston to pick up a patient. The Civil Air Patrol said an initial investigation indicates the Cessna 441 might have broken up in midair.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — The Grand Forks Air Force Base says the North Dakota family killed in a crash in Montana was a U.S. Air Force family.

The air base says 25-year-old Staff Sgt. Anthony James Dean was assigned to the 69th Maintenance Squadron. Authorities say Dean, his 25-year-old wife Chelsi Dean and their two daughters, 5-year-old Kaytlin and 20-month-old Avri, were killed in the Thanksgiving crash .

Anthony and Chelsi Dean were natives of Caldwell, Idaho, and lived in Manvel, North Dakota, after being assigned to the Grand Forks air base where Anthony Dean worked as an RQ-4 Global Hawk crew chief.

The Montana Highway Patrol discovered the crash scene Friday night after searching for the missing family since Thanksgiving. The patrol says their Toyota 4Runner went off Interstate 94 near Huntley, Montana.

MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — The Morton County Sheriff’s Office is determining the pros and cons of body cameras.

Two deputies on each shift, including a K-9 officer, will be equipped with the cameras over the next month, through a pilot program with Motorola, The Bismarck Tribune reported .

The use of body cameras by law enforcement agencies has been increasing nationwide. Morton County Sheriff Kyle Kirchmeier said he has looked into them before, and the recent Dakota Access pipeline protest further sparked his interest. Video footage of protest activity would have been useful as evidence in court, he said.

Each camera costs $600. There also is a $625 annual subscription fee for data storage. The department has 36 officers.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The number of farms filing for bankruptcy is increasing across the Upper Midwest.

A new analysis from the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis shows 84 farms filed for bankruptcy in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana in the 12 months that ended in June. That’s more than double the number over the same period in 2013 and 2014.

The Star Tribune reports the increase in Chapter 12 filings reflect low prices for corn, soybeans, milk and beef. The situation has gotten worse for farmers since June because of the retaliatory tariffs that have closed the Chinese market for soybeans and held back exports of milk and beef. Chapter 12 bankruptcy allows for repayment of debt over three years.

Minneapolis Fed analyst Ron Wirtz says the bankruptcy trend has not yet peaked.

NFL….

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Once Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings took the lead on Green Bay, they played with a fierce refusal to let it go.

They held onto the ball with the same determination.

Cousins bounced back from his worst game of the season with 342 passing yards and three touchdowns without a fumble or an interception, and the Vikings overcame some early gaffes to outlast the depleted Packers for a 24-17 victory on Sunday night.

Completing 29 of his 38 attempts, Cousins found Dalvin Cook , Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen for scores. Diggs and Thielen had eight receptions apiece.

“It just kind of shows his character, shows what kind of player he is, to be able to just not really care what people talk about him, not really care about what happened last week,” Thielen said of Cousins, adding: “The throws he was making, his full game was really impressive. That’s what you expect out of him.”

Sheldon Richardson had two sacks to lead the defense’s game-long stifling of Aaron Rodgers, and the Vikings (6-4-1) pushed the Packers (4-6-1) further back in the NFC wild card race.

The Vikings won a night game for the first time this season after losing to the top three teams in the NFC: to the Rams in Los Angeles, at home to the New Orleans Saints and at Chicago in a two-interception game by Cousins against the first-place Bears.
