Call No. 240    November 1st, 5:31AM, ready squad responded to 1219 Business Loop East, Casey’s General Store to investigate strange odor. Firefighters checked the area and detected a lite odor from the city lagoon. Advised employee to call if it gets worse. Time out 40 minutes.

 

Call No. 241    November 2nd, 6:29PM, ready squad responded to 2501 Circle Drive, NDSH-New Horizon Building, to investigate alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 35 minutes.

 

Call No. 242    November 4th, 7:48PM, ready squad responded to 303 16th St SW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate gas smell. Firefighters checked the are detected no gas odor. Cause-unknown. Time out 30 minutes.

 

Call No. 243    November 4th, 10:24PM, fire department responded to U of Jamestown, Kroze Hall, to a report of a vehicle fire. Fire was out on arrival of fire units. Firefighters checked for hot spots and disconnected the battery. Cause-engine malfunction. No injuries reported. Time out 35 minutes.

 

Call No. 244    November 5th, 11:06AM, Stutsman County Water Rescue Team was requested to help in the rescue of a person in the water south of Halfway Lake exit I-94. Person was out of the water before units arrived on scene. Time out 25 minutes.

 

Call No. 245    November 7th, 10:35AM, ready squad responded to 1810 26th St SW, Titan Machinery, to investigate alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-broken sprinkler head. Sprinkler alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

 

Call No. 246    November 9th, 5:56PM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-Lahaug Building, to investigate alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-steam from the kitchen. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.

 

Call No. 247    November 10th, 3:15PM, ready squad responded to 514 1st Ave South, to a report of a natural gas leak. Ready squad requested a full page out due to the nature of natural gas leaking.1 Hour and 10 minutes.

 

Call No. 248    November 10th, 3:34PM, fire department responded to 514 1st Ave South, to a report of a natural gas leak. Firefighters evacuated the area and waited until Montana Dakota Utilities arrived on scene to stop the leak. Cause-broken valve by the gas meter. No injuries reported. Time out 1 Hour.

 

Call No. 249    November 12th, 5:49PM, fire department responded to 530 4th St SW, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of a fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-electrical baseboard malfunction. No injuries reported. Time out 50 minutes.

 

Call No. 250    November 13th, 10:56PM, fire department responded to 502 24th St SW, My Place Hotel, to a report of water flowing from the sprinkler system. Firefighters found a broken sprinkler head on the 3rd floor and shut down the main water supply to the building. Staff were told that they would have to provide a fire watch until the system was fully functional and operating. No injuries reported. Time out 50 minutes.

Call No. 259    November 23rd, 1:12PM, fire department responded to 1210 3rd Ave SW, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke coming from the laundry room. Firefighters didn’t detect and fire but smoke was present so firefighters exhausted the smoke from the building. Cause-cloths dryer malfunction. No injuries. Time out 30 minutes.
