“What the NDSU football team has done by winning 7 national championships over its last 8 seasons is truly unprecedented,” Hoeven said. “The Bison have now set a record for most NCAA Division I FCS Championships. Throughout their extraordinary run, NDSU’s players, coaches and staff have demonstrated remarkable determination, resilience and skill. We also recognize Bison Nation which has played an important role in NDSU’s continued excellence by providing vibrant support at home games and even on the road. The Bison’s title was a victory not only for the NDSU football team, but for the entire State of North Dakota.”

“President Trump once told a crowd they would get tired of winning, and the North Dakota State University Bison apparently took that as a challenge,” Cramer said. “I’m grateful to Coach Klieman for his years of leadership, and to all the players, staff, and fans who have made our state tremendously proud. But don’t worry: we’re not tired of winning yet!”

Rep. Kelly Armstrong

“The NDSU Bison players and coaches brought home a record seventh FCS Championship trophy,” Armstrong said. “This incredible achievement is the culmination of days, weeks and months of hard work and preparation. Congratulations to all of the Bison players, coaches and dedicated fans.”
