FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Fargo police have issued a warning about a nationwide theft ring that has moved into the city.

Authorities say the criminals in the so-called Felony Lane Gang break into unattended vehicles in parking lots and take purses containing cash, credit cards, checkbooks and IDs.

In Fargo, the suspects have targeted fitness centers, daycares, movie theaters, sporting events, cemeteries and parks. Arrests have been made from Florida to North Dakota.

Police say recently similar incidents have occurred elsewhere in North Dakota and in the region.
