Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown School Public School Board Monday talked about possible increases in the building fund, to meet needs.
Superintendent Robert Lech talked about increasing the building fund from the 10 mills now to 20 mills.
The action would require a vote of school district residents and carry with a 60 percent majorit,y as the mill levy is likely to increase property taxes.
Lech said the school district has significant needs, concerning infrastructure, that requires immediate attention. He added that the school board may be voting on the recommendation at an upcoming meeting.
In other business the school board approved the resignation of high school English teacher Teresa Palmer-Visser, who has been a teacher in the district the past ten years.
