Bismarck  (CSi)   Dangerous wind chills in the 30 to 60 below zero range are expected to persist from late Monday night through Friday morning. There is potential for this to be the coldest stretch since late January
2004.

The National weather Service has update the weekend outlook including  a prolonged period of light snow across western and central North Dakota Friday night through Saturday night, with widespread
snow totals of 1 to 2 inches. The light snow may mix with rain or
freezing rain over the western half of the state.

Then…

A more significant clipper system moves through the state Sunday
and Sunday night, bringing the potential for several inches of
snow across parts of northwestern and much of central North
Dakota.

Strong northwest winds will develop Sunday afternoon and
continue Sunday night into Monday, with the strongest winds more
likely over southwestern North Dakota.

Areas of blowing and drifting snow may create hazardous travel across all of westernand central North Dakota.

Those traveling across the state this weekend into Monday should
monitor the latest weather and road conditions, and stay tuned to
the latest forecasts regarding this potentially dangerous winter
weather.
