College Wednesday evening.

With the win, the Jimmies will host Dordt (Iowa) College Saturday at 3 p.m. The Defenders advanced with an 86-84 win over Briar Cliff (Iowa).

Jon Purintun (SR/Linton, ND) added 23 points for Jamestown, who also had Kevin Oberweiser (SR/Drummond, MT) (12), Brady Birch (SO/Melrose, MN) (12), Isaiah Dobson (JR/Stillwater, MN) (10), and Brock Strom (10) reach double figures.

Neither team shot particularly well in the first half, as Hastings was 13-for 35 (37.1 percent) and UJ 11-for-33 (33.3 percent). The score was 34-34 at halftime.

Hastings took a 38-37 lead 1:41 into the second half on a Bart Hiscock basket, but back-to-back three-pointers from Dobson and buckets by Oberweiser and Purintun gave the Jimmies a 47-38 advantage just 75 seconds later.

Talley converted a three-point play to make it 57-45 Jimmies with 11:12 remaining, and the Orange and Black maintained a double-digit lead for most of the game.
