BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Authorities are investigating a possible cold weather death in North Dakota.

The Cavalier County Sheriff’s Office says a 23-year-old Grand Forks man reported missing was found dead in Langdon this past weekend. Authorities say Conner Sander was in town to referee the North Dakota Junior Gold Hockey Tournament and didn’t show up for his game at the Dakota Spirit Arena. Authorities believe Sander was walking from the Langdon Motor Inn to the Cobblestone Inn, got confused and cold overnight Friday when it was minus 10 degrees (24 below Celsius).
