Randy Lee Tripp was born December 2, 1956 to Marlin and Esther (Walz) Tripp.  He passed away at his home on March 10th, 2019.  Randy was born in Jamestown, ND and raised in Pettibone, ND on the family farm.  He attended Pettibone Public school in his elementary and High school years, graduating in 1975. He always joked about the fact that he graduated 3rd in his class (it was a class of 3). Throughout high school Randy worked on the family farm milking dairy cows.  He began trucking shortly after graduating high school working for Tripp Truckline.  On February 16, 1979 he was united in marriage with Annette Gruebele.  Together they had 4 children, Carissa, Brandon, Brittany, and Jordan.  They continued to reside in Pettibone.  In 1988 they purchased his own truck and started Randy Tripp Trucking which he owned and operated until his passing.
In October of 2009, Randy was united into marriage with LeAnn Fettig (Bursau).
Randy enjoyed deer hunting, Ice fishing, working in the shop, driving around the countryside, and watching old episodes of Bonanza and Gunsmoke.  Randy could be a man of few words, and other days was a man of many words and enjoyed having long talks on the phone with his children and grandchildren.Randy is survived by his children Brandon (Jessica) Tripp, Jamestown ND; Brittany (Brady) VenHuizen, Jamestown ND; and Jordan (Danielle) Tripp, Bismarck ND; 2 brothers Kirt Tripp, and Steve (Valerie) Tripp of Pettibone ND; step-daughters Amber (Dan) Noone, England; Allison Reisenauer (Tyler Fitterer), Alexis Shelby (Justin Kraft) all of Bismarck, ND; and one step-son Andrew Fettig, Texas; Grandchildren Kylie, Breckin, Braden, Bryson, Layton, Jersey, Aeralynn, Jorgen, Klaire, Jeryca, Grayson, Brandton, Joyell, Jaelee, Jeslyn, and Jentry;  Step-grandchildren Michaelyn, Brady, Isabella, Sienna, Hailey, Austin, Ziarah, Zoe and Zekiel and Cashlyn;  nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents Marlin “Mike” and Esther Tripp, his wife LeAnn Tripp, brother Keith Tripp, daughter Carissa Tripp, and mother-in-law Nancy Bursau.

A prayer service will be 7:00 PM, Friday, March 15, 2019 at Eddy Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 16 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Pettibone, ND with Candyce Wick officiating.
