Bernard B. Dunwoody, 89, of Edmunds, ND, passed away Monday morning, March 18, 2019 at Eventide, Jamestown, ND.Bernard Burgess Dunwoody was born January 11, 1930, in Edmunds, the son of Brooke and Bernice (Wescom) Dunwoody. He grew up and was educated in the Edmunds area. Bernard entered the US Army on January 10, 1952 and served during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on September 29, 1953 at Ft. Lewis, WA as a corporal. Bernard married Evelyn Zaun in Jamestown in 1954 and they built a home in the Edmunds area. They raised cattle and small grains in the Edmunds area, and later Bernard operated a trucking company for many years. Bernard and Evelyn were excellent dancers.

Family was very important to Bernard, and he is survived by his wife, Evelyn Dunwoody; daughter, Tammy (Barry) Michaelson; son, Dwight Dunwoody; daughter, Sherry Schwind; daughter, Jackie (Clark) Haskell; eight grandchildren, Brooke, Jeff Jr., Emmy, Ashten, Krista, Chase, Colton, and Jaden; six great-grandchildren, Ava, Noah, Ethan, River, Henry, and Mia; and sister, Mary Fredrickson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Howard.

A Celebration of Life will take place and announced at a later date.

Interment: Edmunds Cemetery, Edmunds.
