Johanna Mary Sattler was born May 27, 1942 in Rugby, ND to John and Jane (Merck) Stattler.  When she was a young girl, her family moved to Helena, MT.  This was where Jo grew up and graduated from high school.

She returned to Minot, ND and went to nursing school for two years and worked at Cox’s Bakery.  Jo met Cliff Holter and they were married October 16, 1976.  She had a job cleaning houses for many years and also worked in the bakery at B & D Market.  Cliff and Jo raised their family in Minot and then moved to Valley City, ND in 1998.

Jo enjoyed life.  Her greatest joy was being a mom, grandma, and great grandma.  She loved that role so much that she “adopted” all the friends her kids brought home, and anyone else that needed her help.  She loved to dance, go camping and fishing, playing Bingo, and going to garage sales.

Besides all of her “adopted” family, she leaves her husband, Cliff; children, Roger Holter, Brenda (Jeff Kunze) Everson, Jim Moser, Carol (Bob) Grenz, and Anita (Travis) Kunze; grandchildren, Shawntae, Shayla, Shantel, Billy, Jesse, Timothy, Brittney, Amanda, Rochelle, Jerica, and Jared; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Gavin, Jacoby, Jaxton, Kingston, Jayden, Teagan, Oakley, and Calvin; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Robert, Donny, and Bill.
